Therapy for brains that don't run on default settings.
Therapy for people whose brains work differently.
My practice is dedicated to neurodivergent adults — autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, and the ones still figuring it out. Everyone is welcome here. You don't need a diagnosis to be in the room.
My practice is for neurodivergent adults — autistic, ADHD, or both. Everyone is welcome. You do not need a diagnosis to come.
I've sat on both sides of the room.
I'm autistic and ADHD. Before I was the one in the therapist's chair, I was the nervous one in the waiting room, wondering if this person would get me, or rush me, or decide my way of being needed curing. I've been told to lower my expectations for my own life.
So if you've done the exhausting hunt for a therapist who actually understands, I know. You can be yourself here. You're sitting with someone who's been there.
I am autistic and ADHD. Before I was a therapist, I was a client. I know what it feels like to sit in the waiting room and worry: Will this person understand me? Will they rush me? Will they try to fix how my brain works?
Someone once told me to expect less from my life.
If you have been looking hard for a therapist who gets it, I know how tiring that is. You can be yourself here. I have sat in that waiting room too.
How I work
Neurodivergent
Your brain isn't broken. We won't try to force it into a neurotypical box; we'll find rhythms that fit how you actually work.
Your brain is not broken. We will not try to make it "normal." We find ways of living that fit how you work.
Queer / LGBTQIA2S+
You can be yourself here. Who you are is part of your wholeness, not a problem to solve.
You can be yourself here. Who you are is not a problem to fix.
Trauma-informed
You set the pace. Nothing gets dug up before you're ready, and "I don't want to talk about that today" is always a complete sentence. We land before you leave; I won't send you out the door wound up.
You choose the pace. We will not dig into anything before you are ready. "I don't want to talk about that today" is always okay. Before you leave, we help you feel calm and steady again.
Disability justice
The barriers are real, and they aren't your fault. We can work on what you want to change, and leave alone what you don't.
The world often does not fit you. That is not your fault. We work on what you want to change, and leave the rest alone.
Relational + human
I bring my real self into the room: humour, honesty, and a lot of questions. I talk back.
I bring my real self: my humour, my honesty, and lots of questions. I will not just nod. I talk with you.
No rush. The door's open.
