Individual therapy
I offer 50-minute individual psychotherapy sessions for adults. You can meet with me in person in Toronto or online, depending on what works best for your energy, schedule, and sensory needs.
My practice is dedicated to neurodivergent adults. Some people have had a diagnosis since childhood; some got one at 38; some have never had one and aren't sure they want one. You don't need to know what you are to start.
Sessions are 50 minutes, one-on-one, for adults. We can meet in person in Toronto or online. You pick what works for your energy and your senses.
My practice is for neurodivergent adults. You do not need a diagnosis to start.
My practice is a good fit for people who are:
- neurodivergent — autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, or still figuring it out
- burned out
- experiencing anxiety and depression
- stressed
- living with the effects of traumatic events, including complex trauma
- living with grief and loss
- going through identity transitions
- feeling spiritual or existential pain
- carrying religious trauma or spiritual harm
- living with addictions
- living with self-harm
- feeling like "I don't know what's wrong, everything is just… a lot"
You absolutely do not need to arrive with a perfectly articulated clinical explanation for your suffering. If your entire intake assessment boils down to "I don't know what's wrong, everything is just… a lot," that is more than enough for us to begin.
You do not need to know what is wrong. "Everything is just a lot" is enough to start.
Not all of it is talking
I also do sand tray work: a tray of sand, shelves of small objects, and you build whatever wants to be built while we both pay attention. This is for the people who've been told "use your words" their whole lives and are tired of it, and for the days when talking is just not available.
Some sessions are not talking. I also do sand tray work: a tray of sand and small objects. You build something. We look at it together. This is good for days when words are hard.
How starting works
No phone screening call. No 35-question intake form. Email me or book a time, and come in.
The first session is the intake: we do the getting-to-know-you part together, in the room, at whatever pace you can manage. You can tell me a lot or almost nothing. There's one short consent form — the legal stuff — and that's it.
There is no phone call first and no long form to fill out. Email me or book a time, then come in.
We do the getting-to-know-you part in the first session, together, at your pace. You can say a lot or almost nothing. There is one short consent form. That is all.
Fees — sliding scale
You choose your rate. No proof of income, no explanation, no awkward conversation.
All sessions are 50 minutes. Pick the rate that's honest for your situation right now; you can change it later if your situation changes.
You choose what you pay. You do not have to prove your income or explain why.
Every session is 50 minutes. Pick the price that is honest for you right now. You can change it later.
$175
Solidarity rate.
If you can pay this, you're directly funding the $125 spots. Thank you.
$150
Regular rate.
This is what a session costs.
$125
Community rate — limited spots.
A small number of spots, funded by the solidarity rate. When they're full, you can join the waitlist.
The number of $125 spots depends on the solidarity rate: the more people who can pay $175, the more $125 spots I can open. If the community rate is what you need and the spots are full, tell me and I'll put you on the waitlist. I'll tell you honestly where you are on it.
How many $125 spots there are depends on how many people pay $175. When more people pay $175, more $125 spots open. If the $125 spots are full, you can go on a waitlist. I will tell you where you are on the list.
Insurance. Receipts are provided for every session. I'm a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), and some insurance plans cover RP (Qualifying) while others don't — please check with your plan before counting on reimbursement.
Coming in 2027: therapy for neurodivergent couples
I'm training in the Gottman Method over winter 2026–27, with a focus on couples where one or both partners are neurodivergent. Details here when it's ready.
In 2027 I will start seeing couples where one or both people are neurodivergent. More information soon.
What to expect
Our work together will be collaborative, steady, and paced around your capacity. I won't rush you or push you into strategies that don't fit your life. This is a space where you can bring the chaos, the numbness, the big feelings, or the "I have no idea what I'm doing" without needing to apologize for being human.
We work together, at your pace. I will not rush you or push you into things that do not fit your life. You can bring the chaos, the numbness, the big feelings, or the "I have no idea what I'm doing." You do not have to apologize for any of it.
What I don't offer
To keep my practice focused and ethical, I do not provide:
- psychological assessments or diagnosis
- couples or family therapy (not yet — see above)
- therapy for children or teens
Registration & supervision
I'm a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), registration #23710. As a Qualifying member I practise under clinical supervision with a CRPO-registered supervisor, which is how the College requires it and how I'd want it anyway.
You can check my registration yourself on the CRPO public register: search for Sparrow Panton or #23710.
