Email is easiest. Tell me a little about what's going on, or nothing at all — "I'd like to book a session" is plenty.

Email me. You can say what is going on, or just "I want to book a session."

Book online (coming soon) Email me

Online booking through Jane is on its way. Until then, email sparrow@sparrowpsychotherapy.ca.

A lot of my day is spent sitting with people, so I often can't check email until the evening. I'll get back to you within two business days.

If this is a crisis, please don't wait for me:

I spend most of the day in sessions, so I may not see your email until the evening. I will reply within two business days.

If you are in crisis, do not wait for me:

  • Call or text 988 — Suicide Crisis Helpline, any time, anywhere in Canada.
  • In Toronto, call 211 and ask for the Toronto Community Crisis Service — a mental-health crisis team, not police, any time.
  • Call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.

Video sessions for anyone in Ontario. Camera off is fine. Fidgeting is fine. Lying down is fine.

In person: Queen West

My office is a small room at 51 Wolseley St, Toronto, M5T 1A4, just north of Queen and Bathurst, in an old printing building. You come in on a raised platform, then go down about six steps to the lobby. There's an elevator from the lobby up to my office.

My office is a small room at 51 Wolseley St, Toronto, M5T 1A4. It is near Queen Street and Bathurst Street. When you come in the front door, you go down about six steps to the lobby. Then you take an elevator to my office.

If those steps don't work for your body, tell me. I have access to a step-free space nearby, and we can set it up for your sessions. You don't have to explain why.

If you cannot do those steps, tell me. I can book a different room nearby with no stairs. You do not have to explain.

Getting there

Subway: from Bathurst station (Line 2), take the 511 streetcar south to Queen. From Osgoode station (Line 1), take the 501 streetcar west.
Parking: there's a Green P lot on Augusta Ave, just around the corner, and paid street parking nearby.

  • weighted blankets
  • fidgets, and lights that dim
  • a tiny library — borrow a book, bring it back whenever

Sensory & access notes

You don't have to mask here. Stim, pace, sit on the floor, bring a fidget, keep your sunglasses on, ask me to dim the lights. If you want to know exactly what the room and the route look like before you come, email me and I'll send photos.

You do not have to act "normal" here. You can stim, move around, sit on the floor, bring a fidget, keep sunglasses on, or ask for the lights lower. If you want to see photos of the room before you come, email me.
